These prestigious awards are the pinnacle of the hospitality industry (often referred to as the industry’s Oscars Night) and on 4th July 2017, The Oakley Court successfully saw off competition from four other national businesses at Grosvenor House, London to win its first Catey Award. With a strong ‘sustainable ethos’, the hotel has gone from strength to strength in the last few years to improve our homegrown produce (onsite kitchen gardens), reduce water and energy wastage and to educate our team on recycling.
Following recent successes at regional level and multiple finalist recognition at national level, this award is a testament to the entire team’s ongoing commitment to sustainable practice.
“Our team at The Oakley Court is honored to be recognized for our sustainable commitments with the prestigious ‘Sustainable Business Award’ at this year’s Cateys,” said Sean Gleeson, Managing Director. “There is no greater seal of approval then being recognized by our guests but this award is a testament to our continued commitment to local suppliers, homegrown produce and sustainable initiatives designed to ensure we continue to protect and support our local environment.”
